Pick your idea, and we’ll forge it with you.
Welcome to the Forge! Here, you can pitch us your idea, and we’ll help implement it — with YOU as project director.
Hephaestus at his forge.
We’re looking for projects that align with our mission: to spread the importance of humanities to students and young adults. If you have an idea, a way to help, or a new branch of Homer you would like to run, pitch us your idea using the form below. You can also shoot us an email at [email protected] with all the necessary information from the form. In other words, if you have an idea, but don’t know where to start, this is the perfect place!
What do you gain?
Developing your project under the support and guidance of Homer comes with a variety of benefits.
- Growth: Homer’s network and online presence, with over 140,000 impressions across a dozen countries and a website click-through-rate of nearly 13%, can ensure your project’s success.
- Hassle-free: **We’re an established nonprofit in the United States. The infrastructure of an educational organization is already set up. We have the framework — all we need is your idea.
- Leadership: **If we incorporate your project, you ensure yourself a leadership position in our organization. You’ll operate as an independent project director, and Homer will only interfere if you need guidance.
- Spread of the humanities: Lastly, but most importantly, you help us with our goal of spreading the humanities. With society’s shift towards a STEM-centric world, it’s increasingly important to recognize the contributions of the humanities.
What do you lose?
At Homer, we value honesty. So, we’ll give you both sides of the coin.
- Untampered experience: Running your own organization is a bumpy road — we can attest to that. Forge attempts to simplify this process and, in the process, eliminates difficulties that a brand-new organization faces. It’s a double-edged sword: easier to operate, less untampered experience.
- Flexibility: Becoming a project director is not a short-term commitment. If you’re truly passionate about your project, this should be no problem, but we’re looking for a long-term responsibility for the project you pitch.

Who’s eligible?
Anyone in middle school (or the international equivalent) or above is eligible to pitch their idea. In other words, anyone above 10 years of age is eligible to apply (no age roof!). We’re looking for responsible, reliable, and prudent applicants. If you possess any of these traits, you’ll be a perfect fit with Homer’s team and environment.
How can I pitch my idea?
- Ensure your idea is fruitful and viable. We’re not a massive organization (though we certainly hope to be!), so please pitch reasonable ideas and timelines.
- Either fill out the form below OR send us an email at [email protected], answering the questions on the form, plus any additional information.
- You can expect us to follow up within two weeks. If we like your idea, we’ll set up a timeline and talk logistics.
